The Quinton seawater cure, also known as thalassotherapy, relies on the healing effects of seawater, sea air, sun, algae, mud and sand. This method is commonly recommended for the treatment of various health problems such as rheumatism, neurodermatitis, psoriasis, chronic constipation, Crohn’s disease, circulatory disorders, stress and general exhaustion. A lesser-known but equally fascinating variant is the “inner thalasso cure”, in which specially prepared seawater is drunk.
Marine researcher René Quinton (1866-1925) was the pioneer in researching the effect of seawater on health. He emphasized that seawater forms the basis of all life and that the first living cells originated in the ocean around three trillion years ago. Quinton discovered that the water in the eddy clouds of marine plankton has a higher content of bioactive minerals. The biophysical life in it, which he calls “marine plasma”, helps to realign the balance of the organism from the ground up.
Quinton Hypertonic and Quinton Isotonic are produced according to strict rules. The seawater is extracted at the locations in the Bay of Arcachon that Quinton considers to be the most suitable. It is pure oceanic seawater that is sterilely treated by microfiltration in a clean room in accordance with the pharmacopoeia. Quinton Hypertonic is a complex colloid solution that contains the entire spectrum of minerals and trace elements in an optimally bioavailable form.
The effect of Quinton Marine Plasma can be seen in the improved conductivity of the body after a two-week drinking cure. This contributes to the increased effectiveness of frequency therapies. The seawater is carefully treated using cold microfiltered, unheated seawater. The water is extracted in the zone of sunlight penetration at a depth of 10 to 30 meters. The seawater is analyzed, preserved at a low temperature and double microfiltered. The end products are bottled under sterile clean room conditions and prepared for shipment.
