Food supplement with red fermented rice + artichoke and garlic extract BIO
Red fermented rice has been known in East Asia for centuries. This product is made by fermenting cooked white rice with the mold Monascus purpureus. Although less well known in Germany, red fermented rice is already one of the top 10 micronutrient supplements in neighboring European countries. This is due to its content of monacolin K. A daily intake of less than 3 mg of monacolin is recommended for food supplements containing red fermented rice. The background to this is the fact that the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has scrutinized monacolin K in several studies. The result: both a daily dose of 10 mg and 3 mg of monacolin K show possible risks associated with contraindications, interactions and adverse effects of lovastatin, a medicinal substance (see BfR statement no. 003/2020 of January 15, 2020). Therefore, the proven CHOLESTO-AKTIV+ was further developed into CHOLESTO-AKTIV PRO, which contains 2.99 mg monacolins per capsule, together with 9 mg cynarin.
The recommended intake for CHOLESTO-AKTIV PRO is one capsule a day, ideally 15 minutes before going to bed at night. In addition to red fermented rice powder from organic farming, it contains high-quality garlic and artichoke extract, both also from organic farming. Garlic (Allium sativum) with the ingredient allicin contributes to the control of cholesterol levels, while artichoke (Cynara scolymus) also contributes to normal blood lipid levels thanks to the bitter substance cynarin. What needs to be considered?
This product should not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under the age of 18 and adults over the age of 70. Seek medical advice before consuming this product if you experience any health problems. This product should not be consumed if you are taking cholesterol-lowering medication or if you are already consuming other products containing red mold rice.
