About the book
Moringa, a plant of superlatives

With over 90 nutrients that are important for health, “Moringa oleifera” (the “oil-bearing plant”) is one of the most useful and versatile plants on earth! With an exceptionally high ORAC value (antioxidant potential), it holds the world record in the plant kingdom. This “miracle tree” from the Himalayas is currently conquering the world. Moringa thrives on almost any soil in the tropics and subtropics. The cream-colored to golden flowers smell of honey, its leaves are bright green and feathery. This fast-growing plant was cultivated in India 3000 years ago as a proven household remedy for many ailments. According to Ayurveda, the science of long and healthy life, moringa can be particularly beneficial for high blood pressure, diabetes and osteoporosis. All these indications, and many more, have been confirmed by modern science. The leaves of the Moringa tree contain all the essential amino acids and valuable fatty acids.
Moringa is a rare adaptogen. Adaptogens are substances that harmonize and optimize all physical and mental functions. Only around one in 8000 medicinal plants is an adaptogen! So it’s no wonder that moringa strengthens the brain, nerves and bones and regulates the metabolism and digestion. Moringa leaves help humans, animals and plants and strengthen a weak immune system. More than 700 scientific studies have proven the valuable properties of this versatile plant.
Moringa leaves are a natural multivitamin and multimineral supplement from Mother Nature. Moringa seeds purify water from bacteria and viruses and provide a high-quality oil for cooking, cosmetics and skin care, which was highly valued by the ancient Egyptians. Moringa is also very useful as an energy plant. Moringa oleifera is known in Ayurveda as the “tree of long life”. All parts of the plant have good and important properties. Moringa is the “Swiss Army knife” of naturopathy for body, mind and soul.
