Acerola powder
Food supplement based on acerola fruit powder and vitamin C
The acerola fruit, also known as the cherry of the Antilles, originates from Central America and Brazil, where it can still be found today. The acerola cherry is one of the plants richest in vitamin C. On average, 100 g of ripe acerola fruits contain 17,000 mg of vitamin C. In comparison, the vitamin content of around 50 mg per 100 g of oranges is very modest! The acerola fruit consists of 80 percent juice with an exceptionally high vitamin C content.
Acerola powder is a dietary supplement to compensate for a vitamin-poor diet. Under certain conditions, such as stress, high physical exertion, pregnancy, cold and wet weather or smoking, the need for vitamin C can increase rapidly. Stirred into fruit juice or yoghurt, acerola powder is an ideal way to provide the body with a targeted supply of vitamin C.
